The lattice work looks ever so nice when flowers are entwined among the wood. Perhaps flowers will grace this one, too, when spring and summer finally arrive.
Carpenters are not dreamers; they nail everything down! ;-)
He was probably dreaming as to how it would look on Brattcat's blog! That's why, before he began, he knelt and said, "Lattice spray!"
Re your comment on Florida Fotos - I have no idea about this paddlewheeler ... Lake Buena Vista is not very big...but we did not ride on it. I'd guess it would take you from one Disney attraction to another...
"If I was a carpenter and you were a lady..." but I digress. What else is new. I enjoyed this one-- the artistry of nature and of the latticework captured within.
Maybe he dreamt of a warm bowl of clam chowder waiting for him at home. You have a great eye for capturing engaging vignettes. Also, thank you kindly for becoming one of my followers!
Your carpenter must also have been a wood-turner judging by the spray of flower heads. If they were here in my city, I would declare them to be on a Crepe Myrtle, but I am not confident in your neck-of-the-woods.

Someone with a lot of pride made this. And a lot of skill.
Maybe the carpenter dreamed someone would come along and admire his/her work enough to photograph it.

Have a great weekend!
Beautiful work with a little of nature's sugar coating to enhance the scene.

I do not know, may be-- Beautiful work!
He probably hoped that his best work would be good enough. And it was way better than that!
If he learned about cameras and blogs, he would be delighted to see his work featured here.
Maybe that a lovely vine would cover what he built for it.
Lovely composition. The carpenter must have been a perfectionist.

This carpenter must have traveled to the Middle East. Looks like a mucharabieh
Maybe he was Australian, historically we have a lot of latticed porches.
It is so romantic with the snow and roses.
I love the warm tones in this picture.
How lovely!
