Regardless of how one feels about politics, I think most would agree that an elephant is a better mascot or symbol than a donkey.
Julie and I sampled a bit of your winter weather during this past week, as we were in Washington, DC, including being stuck to two days trying to leave due to cancelled flights.
Saturday night and finally some free time. Art, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. But then so is kitsch. You pays your money and you takes your choice.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Why did you say that,
... it is definitely art.
Please have a good weekend.
How cute! I love it! and also the beautyful quilts behind...
I'm sure you'll inspire many. This one is quite cool... elephant butt!
Colossal joy, indeed. Precious. There's esty business!
Hand craft is always art in my book! Very cuddly toy!
Cute! Looks like a fun knitting project but I hate the sewing-it-together part! Keep stitching!
very nice..
How cute! All elephants should have purple ears and tails.

How adorable. I'm a scarf/baby sweater/cap girl. Are these really hard to do??

This is Art, with a big A. I had a very similar one when I was about 4 feet smaller and 45 years younger
And no one has to clean up after this elephant.

That is a nice elephant. You should publish the pattern or post it or whatever. It looks hard.
i'm fine. i've been busy lately.
i'm wondering if the elephants have purple ears and tails like this. he he
I can see why...it is adorable.
It turned out wonderful, of course! What a lucky boy to be getting this gift made with love.
The last photo is so strong and impressive.
You can say that, this is more art than most of the overvalued junk peddled in many contemporary art museums.
I think, it is art.
It's pretty cute! I love the tail. :-)
This would take some skill and patience. I wonder if this pattern was a response to Babar the Elephant stories which were also from the 30s.
Elephant rear end is delightful to behold.

How adorable and so like the circus elephants at the Monte Carlo circus. Love that this is made with an old knitting pattern.
Art or not, it is a funny stuffed animal... I like it very much, cause is texture must be very interesting to our claws... ;)
