this old house thursday: perhaps my favorite house in brattleboro

doesn't this place look as if some behemoth of a creature carried it across the ocean from england and dropped it here in vermont?

i'm on the road again for a few days but i've scheduled posts to appear during my absence.

It may be old, but it is also very large. A picture of elegance, I think.

What a beautiful house... just as the picture.
Have a good journey, Brattcat!

This does indeed look like an English manor house, which makes sense, since Vermont is located in New England.

Kind of a semi-tudor look.

Not surprised it's your favourite house. It caught my eye in the portal and is absolutely fabulous. A lovely shot of it too.

I LOVE that house - bricks, character, history, unique design! Maybe it came over on a really big barge?! Congrats on using the auto-publish while you're gone; we wouldn't want to miss your snaps!

An English mansion. I didn't realize this was where you lived! No wonder it's your favorite house.

Are you having fun yet?

Oooh. Gorgeous house! I can see why it's your favorite. I'm a sucker for brick, too-- we don't have all that many brick buildings out here in the wild west! So naturally I find them very charming.

Oooooh, it does look like that. It looks like it a home right out of a Regency Romance. It's so beautiful, I can see why it is your favourite.

We have so many homes in Birmingham in this architecture. Maybe I should start featuring homes here. You've made me think.
