This one could be used as a postcard for the new year! The light gives a special mood to the scene, I love it!

There is something very majestic about trees without leaves especially in the snow.
The sun has been very evasive around here and more snow this morning.

Winter in VT- you've captured a bit of the bleakness and the beauty of it all. Why do we live tucked up in the Northeast corner, I'm asked often. For scenes like this...

With the clear skies, it could bring the warmth of the sun, or it could become colder without the insulating layer of clouds to retain the earth's heat. Either way, i makes for a nice photo.

This could have been taken 100 years ago but for the modern automobile peeking out from between the 2 large cedars. Perfect for sepia.

this is absolutely enchanting... I'd so love to visit there and especially visit the house... Is that your place?

The restrained tones of the photo make it hard to guess what the ambient light is. It's all a bit mysterious, which things out in the woods should be.

Those pine trees are beautiful!

it's really lovely. I'd use it for a New Year's card (I'm always late with cards so I figure, NY cards are good if they arrive before Valentine's).
