I reckon monochrome is a good choice for this image, BC. You have a good slice of the grey scale, especially white and black. You have a figure moving along a perspective. Everything I am learning and try to achieve. At the moment, I am a bit loathe to take the blue out of the water.
Julie sounds like a serious photographer. The scene you shot looks very much like it does hereabouts. Instead of snowshoes (which grace our downstairs fireplace), I'm dragging out the X-country skiis this year. Have fun in the snow!
What a lovely winter, snowy scene! Fun to go for a walk with your daughter! I wish we had gotten out for a long walk in the snow during our Christmas vacation. Well we did go sledding on Grandpa and Grandma's hill in the backyard!
Looks like they're having fun...We can't have that fun over here in LA. I guess a little snow will make the holidays more enjoyable for the families here. Have a Blessed New Year from LADP!
It looks like your two dear cats have a pretty good stride going into the winter wonderland. I would frame this one to gaze at on those sultry summer days.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Is that an axe Mr BC doth carry?
Not an axe, a walking stick. Mr. BC made it himself.
More wet snow here yesterday too. Lots of whiteness this morning. This is a wonderful shot of two special people moving away... a keeper!

Well, there you go, snowcats! Lots more snow then we had, nice!
That's a bit different from my walks...
Doing something together in a landscape of silence... what a precious gift.
There's nothing like a woodland walk after a fall of snow. Very nice photo.
Sunny :)
Beautiful photo...,
Peaceful and lovely, your winter wonderland!

Snowshoes, something my toes have never worn! I love this shot. Sweet company!

My wv is ALPLINGS! :)
You are making me more jealous by the minute! This is a gorgeous photo, you do realize that?
Love the shades of black, white and gray; love the pair forging their way down their path; love the snowshoes and the pristine snow!
Very nice shot of the 'cats. Works well in sepia.
Are you sure this is not in Haninge? Looks very familiar.
I second VP and Virginia... :-) This is such a lovely composition! Your husband and daughter make such a wonderful contrast to the snow.
Daddy and daughter...don't know many things nicer.
Beautiful.
Must be a lot of fun to walk in the woods. baby brattcat is as cute as can be (I bet even cuter from the other side). gorgeous photo.
Lovely photo, hope they enjoyed their snow walk.

I've read about these but never got a chance to try them. Are they very easy to walk on? As always, lovely shot!
Perfect snowshoe weather. Nice capture!
