not far beyond this point the road ends,

but between here and there a field of stories
beckons to the patient traveller

And a good fine morning to you, BC! Our day looks like it's going to be as lovely as your photo. Lovely composition, and, of course, it reminds me of that Robert Frost poem about "A road not taken."

This beautiful country scene just beckons. Where are all the painters?

Beautiful idea, I imagine myself there in one of my daily walkings and this place is peaceful inviting us for rest a little bit during the way.The end.... can be in my house!

I must be an explorer at heart because I always want to see what is over the hill or around the bend.

I agree with Sharon. I think just over the crest of this hill is a giant magnet that is drawing in any cars or walkers. They would have to take a look. No one could turn back now.

The kind of road i love to follow, till the end and even a little farther...

What a beautiful scene. It just demands a good pair of walking shoes, bottle of water, and a camera. I'll be right back!

And the number and quality of those stories depends on one's imagination...I think you would imagine some beauties!

Re your comment on Ocala: I wonder what the future holds for not only our young people but the planet seeing as how appear to be hell-bent on destroying it!

Methinks I would like a walk and a picnic, just as long as the temperature is right!

Oh, may I run to the top of that road, twirl with arms outstretched and break out singing, "The HILLS are alive . . ." I'm sure I'd be snatched right up into heaven by the hand of god. Or perhaps find Jack and Jill injured and prostrate on the other side of the hill, in need of medical attention. :-). What a scene. I really would love to walk right into it and just disappear for a time. Joyously.

Hi Brattcat! Re your comment on Cedar Key: I've never seen anyone climb those stairs! I'd be a little afraid to climb them myself - they look a little rickety!
