when lightning struck and set this place afire

we thought it lost forever.
but like the phoenix it has emerged from the ashes
dressed in summer ivy and wearing its small scars with pride.

Love how the climber plants surround everything creating such vivid manifestation of nature' power.

Nobody tells Mother Nature what to do. She's her own boss.

Now that reminds me of Florida...around here if you leave any plant untended it will grow quickly into a tree or cover everything with its entanglements!

Beautiful shot, Brattcat!

I didn't know you had lightning in Vermont!

I love the way the ivy creates a living shawl around the injured building.

It has always amazed me how quickly and thickly ivy grows.

Thanks for asking about my back, something I will have to live with along with all the other aches and pains of getting older!
How is your knee these days?

We had the house on the other side of our next door neighbor hit by lightning, but in Arizona you would never see ivy covering up the damage.

I like the way you describe things.. I like this idea of a re-born phoenix.. and I like this green frame offered by nature..
Have a nice week-end!

Thank God Mother Nature is her own boss as Birdman says. What would we do otherwise?

Perhaps lightning did us a favor. I can't imagine that this ever looked more beautiful.
