They were here in Sydney at Easter, but I was out of town. I have some of their LPs. Must get some newer medium ... media ... stuff ... I missed them, but have tickets to see Leonard Cohen in Melbourne in November. Similar but different ...

Leonard Cohen will bring a different kind of energy but equally wonderful, I think.

How fabulous! Love to have seen them. I laughed at your comment on Menton today - yes I guess the parades were very different!

'You've got a friend' and 'You're so vain' were big hits at the parties in my parents' house! :-)

Oh they were in Atlanta recently but I didn't get to see them. I would love to though.

Nice to have such performers in your neighborhood. We are lucky to get a used politician.

Oh wow, two of my favourites in one spot at the same time, unfortunately 4000 miles from here :-(

Ah c'mon! You were there and heard them in person? Fantastic and I'm so very jealous! Remember "you've got a friend"!

Oh, man, I missed them when they were were a couple months ago. We don't go to many shows, but we had already bought Tom Petty tickets for the same week. Then Petty postponed until September. :-(

I bet that really was magical.

AH, YOU WENT TO SEE THEM!!!
I bet it was great! I checked out their tour a few months ago...don't you think that Carole looks just wonderful. (It's always the man who ages well, so I'm just thrilled that she looks so good.)
I think I'll pull out the Tapestry song book and go hammer on the piano for a bit.

I know their names but I think they never came to France, at least in Nice. But Leonard Cohen did, in..1979! and I was there!

So glad you got to see their show. I caught them here in Seattle on Mother's Day. Couldn't believe Carol's energy. . .68 years young and dancing full tilt on 3" heels--maintaining that energy throughout the very long show! I don't usually gravitate toward nostalgia material or big arena shows, and was pleasantly surprised that this really was a show not to miss. Very vital, both performing better than ever. Where did you go for the concert?

A shot of a big video screen, right? Could you see the performers? BTW, my Tuesday post has a Vermont spin and dedication to you.

I saw him in Tanglewood for his 60's birthday 2 years ago.. and she was also part of the surprise!
Great evening.

L. Cohen I can take, but after "Sweet Baby James" you can have him. However, I fell in LOVE with Tapestry... in more ways than one.

Oh, that looks like so much fun! I've loved Carole King ever since I heard "Tapestry" as a little girl. I still have the record... although nothing to play it on. I hope you had a wonderful time!
