A touching and deserved tribute.

When my mother passed away this month ten years ago, we used a similar photo of her for the obituary. Although we had not discussed the subject with her, it is definitely what she would have wanted.

She looks both very beautiful and very kind. So glad you posted her photo.

Boy, does she ever look like the ladies or girls (I was between 6 and 10 then) I saw when I was growing up during World War II. The hair, I think, is about the same that everyone wore. Did you know they washed it in homemade soap and rinsed it in vinegar.

The photos of the people from times passed help us to stop for a moment and make alive the ones who gone, with our memories, imagination, feeling.

My goodness. Your mom looks somewhat like Lois' mom looked at the time that photo was taken. Lois lost her mom in 2003 also! But you lost yours way too soon!

She represents good memories, I'd guess!

Beautiful picture of your mom. The photo looks hand colored. What a wonderful remembrance. You lost her much too soon.
