Who wouldn't like Queen Anne's lace? Although, she tends to wear it all the time. Nice capture.

I love this plant. So complex a pattern, yet so simple-- and so many in a back field. It's also known as wild carrot, bird's nest, bishop's lace,as well as Queen Anne's lace.

Thank you for offering this stunning blossom this morning. This flower, too often taken for granted--yet you paused to look closely.

Although I've admired it often, I have never thought about Queen Anne's Lace looking like a snowflake. Thanks for getting me to see something in a new way yet again, BC!

By the way, it was "bumbleberry" pie. I'm not sure if it's just a local thing, but it's all the berries that are in season-- this one was raspberries, blueberries... and something else I've forgotten, but it sure tasted good!

I also had never noticed the resemblence to a snowflake, but once the idea is put in your head, it's all so clear! Gorgeous.

I don't think we have this plant down here. It is gorgeous, though!

Hi Brattcat! Re your question on Florida Fotos: Yes, I believe they are black-eyed susans.

But, don't blame me. I didn't give them a black eye!

Have a great weekend!

He would say, "They all look alike to me."

By the way, you're the only person I ever saw actually have a clump of them in a perennial garden.

Beautiful. One of the most beautiful flowers that some call a weed. A weed is a flower too, as a gardener friend of mine reminds me.

Now this is one flower which I wish could grow here. It's so lovely and delicate.

I think I know what this is but I have never seen it as a piece of lace and it really looks like one!

I think if Snowflake Bentley would enjoy the summer blooms; though I don't know if he would photograph them to the extent that he photographed snowflakes.
