can we imagine what is desired

in the quick hearts of caged birds?

I've enlarged the picture and it's beautiful, these delicate birds, those flowers and the light in this place! :)

A very nice cage. And I know why the caged bird sings!

Brilliant, Brattcat. Leia's response is right on, I think, as was B Squared's.

And thanks for your very kind comment on Ocala DP: No, this young man was not known to me, but he was having a good time!

The light in the shot and flowers make such a beautiful combination. The pop of the yellow birds...nice.

What an absolutely gorgeous picture!

The bird might be weighing the pros and cons of taking flight compared to the free and easy food supply indoors.

I do not like to think of birds in cages. So sad. But I am sure they are well-taken care of and loved.

Beautiful shot. I also like Leia's quote!

The lighting is lovely. It may be a cage, but at least it's a roomy one.

Ah Léia has quoted one of my favourite quotes/authors...

It seems almost cruel to give the little birds this window while denying the chance to fly out into the scene. Reminds me of the old Leonard Cohen song:

Like a bird on a wire,
Like a drunk in his midnight choir,
I have tried in my way to be free.

Great picture, you have to see it enlarged. Not a bad cage anyway...

What a fascinating picture of birds and flowers . . . almost a stillife. I also like being reminded of "The Little Prince."
