What a beautiful fairy-tale house! First I thought at Haensel and Gretel, but then I noticed its startling similarity to a nice but rather absent-minded old woman whose eyes and mouth went upside down... Anyway a thorough sense of unity of all elements in the picture: house, plants, landscape, sky... really like a little, whole, fabulous world.
I have adored your posts this week and can't decide if I want to live in this stone house or the place on Organ Street!!!!! As long as yesterday's clouds follow me, anywhere will do!
Love stone houses. We have some kind of limestone facade on our house and a fireplace of native stone that covers a whole wall - my favorite place in the house!
Beautiful shot, Brattcat; it shows off the wonder of rock perfectly!
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

The patience it must take to make a stone house! This one is very attractive.
Those who lay bricks or stones have their day when the job is done and from then on their work is admired by all those passing by.

How long must it take for each individual stone to find its own home as part of something spectacular?

I love the textures in this photo - stone wall, feathery evergreens, the trees and shrubs.

These stone houses are amazing. They look so attractive and every stone must have a story to tell. A lovely picture.
The stones of this house seem to stay together more for some kind of magic that by the hand of man...
Stone houses in a woodland setting are almost magical.
They don't make them like the used to.
