Okay, dear Leia, I promise a few more pictures. You were all very quick to guess New York. I thought perhaps you wouldn't be able to make out the Statue of Liberty (the give-away clue) but you all have such sharp eyes. Does anyone know where I was in NYC to get this shot?
Ellis Island is such a moving place. I remember the light coming into the arrival hall at a slant. I like the way you teased us into guessing . . . can't wait to see what else you have to treat us with.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving in that very special Queen Ann.
You've been somewhere in New York, I can see the statue of Liberty in the background. Ellis Island perhaps? Nice photo - love the window. Melbourne Daily Photo

The last time I was in New York was about 20 years ago. Maybe this place wasn't even there, back then... or was it?

Was this photo taken from Ellis Island?
I was going to say NY then I saw I was a bit late with my answer!
I'm not sure where it was taken from but it's a great shot.
Sunny :)
Definitely Ellis Island. Great shot!
Ellis Island, it is! Well done Dave and Martin!
Glad you took your camera with you, brattcat!
Sorry, I'm late... Beautiful image.
This is Ellis Island: the kind window and the angle to Lady Liberty betrays the location.
This lousy rainy day must be affecting my mind! I think I was the only one who haven't noticed the statue... :-) Beautiful glass wall and shot too!
No, JM, we were two...
OK, I'm far too late! Ellis Island and I have a shot a bit like this one somewhere in the cellar at my parents. Love it!
Ellis Island arrival hall?
Great mystery shot but you have a lot of savvy and smart followers who umped right in with an answer.
Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy!!

Wow, the lighting here is incredible. Punchy and sentimental
