In this image one feels so clearly the difference, but also the connection, between fresh and warm... And the affinity with baby's breath and mother's cheek is perfect.
Oh my goodness, you have caught the light in the act of shining, those magical 15 seconds when it gives a glow to the whole world. This is the light that the Russian painter Shishkin so often painted.
I had to come back to this photo. It's one of those very special ones. So many elements of the natural world: logs and trees, green leaves and newly brown branches, stones, light and shadow. . .purrrrfect.
We have the same thing here in Italy, but we call it "Estate di San Martino", i.e. "Saint Martin's Summer". Very short version: along the road, Martin gave his coat to a poor man who was freezing and God turned the weather to warm as a reward for his generosity and so that both could be warm. Since then, every year (more or less), the same thing happens and this year was no exception!
Oh Brattcat, this is a magical capture. My eye just wants to stay in this picture either looking over the stones in the wall or the gorgeous light on the swaying evergreens or wanting to open that wonderful gate. What a treat for the imagination.

This is like something I would expect to see in a fairy tale movie about Scotland. Nice.
The perfect description for a lovely picture.
Sunny :)
Interesting patterned sunlight falling here. I like it!
It's the light! It's the light! Glorious, Brattcat. Serene and warm. Love the title and the processing with the soft edges.
Have a great day!
Beautiful. I experienced it in September while in Michigan. It is, quite simply, the best.
I learned a lot.
Beautiful light! I love the old log gate, too. Very nice photo.

Perfect. I can almost feel the air and sunlight. The stone wall makes me miss New England bad-d-d!
Great shot!
(Is the orange cat a designated "Guard Cat on Duty"?)
It must be a perfect place for walking.
Oh I love this Brattcat! The lighting is awesome!
Great play of sunlight and shadows! Well done.
ooopssss....!!!! is it from India?
How much everyone (me, too) loves this special light. (And there is blue and orange here, as in yesterday's post with cat and door!)

Don't have Indian Summer here in Florida, but I can feel it in your picture. Just magical.
