Fun thoughts for this capture! Yes, when I was in jr. high, I went to a school dance or two where my friends and I never danced once. We just sat along the wall and chatted and refused all the boys.
It looks to me like the squash are taking over. Those stairs have seen lots of foot traffic I would guess . . . I also wondered about those read bricks . . .
These look like country pumpkins. A country pumpkin is a close relative of a country bumpkin, except the country bumpkin usually has a red ring around his neck. ;-)
Hope you're having fun! If not, come home immediately!
But Halloween is over! And you're maybe a hundred miles away from Sleepy Hallow.
Danced? I can't dance to save my live, just a clumsy honky. But we did go to a pretty good performance of The Barber of Seville last night at a little local opera company and Mendelssohn's first piano concerto and Reformation Symphony at the St. Louis Symphony today. That's what's up my alley.
Thank you for your wonderful comments. That 'furry' thing is a concavity of concrete. It's simply the internal structure of the broken cement. But I love how your minds work!
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Just love it. This is one happy photograph.
I love it too but I'm a little leery of that furry thing in the middle! :)

Cute picture, brings some memories from our childhood!
Léia :)
I don't understand the bricks on the stairs. They look like a tripping hazard.
I hope you are having a good trip and that you have time to take some photos to post.

My body was too busy to dance, but my mind did..
A rather bitter-sweet shot...
Wasn't up for much dancing this weekend, so we watched Something abouy Mary yet again. And surprise: South Brattleboro is mentioned in the movie!
Fantastic photo, idea, caption, love it!

The stairs look like they could have used guards a long time ago. Wonderful seasonal shot.
I am dancing always Brattleboro :-)
LOL
Fun presentation and cute in deed!

My eyes danced all round this little sonnet of an image! I did wonder about the furry hollow but just danced more Gingerly.
Yes, what IS that furry thing in the middle?
Extraordinary photo..,
Your caption made be laugh out loud. A fun picture!
Sunny :)
Great and funny shot, those stairs are ready to dance!

Funny picture. I absolutely can't dance, but I'll try to do it now, while nobody's watching, just for this post...
This is such a cool pic!
Hillarious.
