I guess there is no attention to the aesthetics of the back of the buildings because all of the artistic expression is channelled into decorations for the front such as yesterday's lawn art.
Cities are pretty much all alike. Crotchety, middling, rickety the words that seem to fit my idea of a big city.
That's why I like small towns, countryside and back roads. Nothing is the same anywhere.
In the end I guess it is what one gets used to. If you are born in a big city the chances of you moving to and living in the country is a slim to none chance.
Same for religion. Born a methodist makes it hard to even imagine being a catholic. It seems to me.
On the other hand the backside of ladies is as interesting to me as the front side. So I guess city planners could study the human form for some inspiration.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Crotchety appears to be a good choice.
ohmigod, that roof has a funny angle!
The back side is cool as well, don't you think?
Have a nice Sunday dear friend!

Thanks to this shot, dear Brattcat, I'm asking me what would so many other views look like, in a "from behind" perspective. Everywhere...

I love the wonky one the best. Great little town you live in !!

I like back shots. They make us see things in a different light.
Old "crochety" buildings! The white one is a riot...like it didn't quite know which way to grow.
Hope your day is filled with fun things!

I always like different views and this one is quite good.
I wonder if it's possible to 'glam' up that back side. . .
It's nice to be able to see the place that we're familiar with from a different angle and perspective. Makes us think.
Thank you for this shot.!!!
It is so interesting to look at things from a different perspective. Thank you. You have sparked my imagination.
