Hello dear friend! hummm It's another dream-house! And that fence is so romantic! :) I can almost see a balance sheet and many children playing happily around the house! Léia
Haha, Julie. November is a sort of mugger, stealing the life from summer, stripping the trees bare, turning the grass bitter. Jacob, you're right, for awhile there is a golden shimmer in the air. And then it just goes glum and gray until the snow comes.
Hahahahaha.... I did first translate "ditty" :( I never heard about it !!!! Its a very cosy place there it reminds me to my children years and thats a longgggggg time ago ;)
That is some fence. It looks like it is handmade too and that means it has been painted white with loving care. Nice shot. It makes me want to sing just seeing the scene.
Like Tanya, I thought that pristine white picket fence seemed odd next to the worn, old barn, but it's an interesting contrast nonetheless. Will the fence one day look like the barn?
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Oh, I like this one, so pastoral. Life in the country, it's gotta be!
This is that same gaunt November, yes? I have this sneaking feeling that November is out to mug this landscape real soon now.
A barn, a lovely old tree and a picket fence...who could ask for anything more!
Sunny :)
Another poetic comment to match a poetic photo.
Your pictures of late have been uniquely fall-like, which is appropriate, I guess, seeing as how it's fall...
...but it's like the summer brightness and color has been sucked out of the air leaving this golden aura over everything...
Very nice!

That is so beautiful. I have always wanted a picket fence, there was one at my mother's house.
I think that ditty will be short lived. Here's hoping for a mild winter.

Very nice and poetic. I hum tuneless little ditties year round, but surely not as nice as November's ditty.
I live the autumn's song, especially the way you show it..so romantic!
. . . but a very tuneful photo.
That white picket fence just doesn't go right with that old barn! Beautiful setting none-the-less! I love your poem with it, as always!

While December prepares to dance into the picture....
I have to check what a ditty is, but now that I know: well done and said!
My English got a bit better today: I had to look for 'ditty' in the dictionary. Now that I know what it means... I agree with you.
I love white picket fences :)
Beautiful fall landscape and as I can see very inspiring for a poet's heart :)
