the ledges

when my daughters were small
they loved sitting on these rocks
with the water pounding against their skinny backs

What a nice photograph here. Solitude amid the rushing waters... and yes let's share a cup.

Brattcat: I don't even know you but thought of you when I posted my Halloween (10/31) photo. Please look at it if you get a chance.

I was in Brattleboro one summer at the Experiment in International Living (renamed now?) and your photos are so nostalgic for me! Such a neat place.

I can remember doing the same thing so many years ago! Only in Minnesota!

Another excellent autumnal taste of Brattleboro!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

How I understand your girls ! It must be great and fun to sit there during summer. Now, in autumn, and several years after, laughs were carried off with the silver of the water..

And they were not afraid to slide down on the rocks!!

How wonderful, in this age of transitoriness, to be able to live in the same place for all those years.

What a special spot and what wonderful memories it evokes for you. Those rocks look so smooth.

This idea looks so good! I'm always afraid of water as I don't know how to swim but in this case I could perfectly sit on those rocks and feel the rhythm of the water!
I think it would be magnificent!
Léia :)
I really liked this idea!
