I know people - some of my coworkers, my daughter and son-in-law - who just go wild on Halloween. I don't think this is an old tradition. When I was a kid it was just an excuse to make up some sloppy costume and gorge ourselves on candy. I don't like being scared. The world is scary enough without adding more to it.

But I am not afraid.
SpoOOooOoOky! MB
... but are the kiddies ready for the night? Spooktacular!
And perched on the porch are the visual certifications that this is indeed a crazy celebration. Are you expecting a bunch of little trick-or-treaters?
This used to be a religious holiday - All Hallowed Eve. I think we need a movement to "Take back Halloween"!
;-)
With webs that size, I'd hate to run into the spider who made them.
Odd that candy and scary became joined at the hip. . .no?
The only trick or treaters we get are Farmer Brown's cows, should they get loose!

Quite "inviting"..to run away!:))
I am also not afraid...
Luna cannot decided if she stays in for a nap or goes out for some tricks and treats... :)
God bless you!

I'm watching my step!
Spooky, with the right atmosphere...
I have seen some traces around here and I even got a picture of my first real Halloween pumpkin!
Love your Halloween posts, particularly the one with three pumpkins on the steps!
