Beautiful scene that really does cheer me! Will you be serving tea or hot chocolate. I prefer chocolate, with a croissant perhaps?

I'm coming with pleasure!
You'll tell I'm curious, but I love the face we can guess through the stairs. I think it's a poster, or maybe a painting?..I like the way it's looking at us!

Thanks, Brattcat! A warm image is just what I needed! It's bright and sunny here today but only 25 degrees at 9 AM!

Nuts!

But I think it will be nice and toasty (relatively speaking) when you get down here.

Lovely shot. I do love the colored window. And i will take you up on the invitation.

Yes you are right 'red sky at night, sailors delight' what was I thinking. MB

When I read your title I expected to see a witch in your picture, LOL!
The stained glass window is gorgeous, lovely reflections.

Hi,
I'm Balisha...I have seen your comments to Elenka. They're going through a scarey experience right now and need our comments. I know that you are a comfort to her. I just wanted to come and see your blog...love the window picture.

Boy that is really pretty. Some older homes here have those kinds of stained glass in windows near the stairs.

What a beautiful picture.

This has the feel of the arts & crafts movement era in interior furnishings.

In addition to the window, staircase and light, I like how you have positioned the woman peeking through the staircase rails

Very nice stained glass window. It is a bit nippy out isn't it. I only went out yesterday to pick up the newspaper, brrr!

Thanks for sharing the warmth of your beautiful turn of the century home , Brattcat. What a great rainbow paned window and gorgeous wood casings.

Is that a poster of Hesse's "Out of the Dust" on the wall? That's a story that I will not soon forget.

Love the colors--how joyful--and love that they cast light on the staircase and on the framed cover of a great book.

This is so cheerful! It's raining hard here, no snow, and I'm looking for colors. This is delightful!
