Beautiful time, color and composition, glad that you are enjoying this warm and temting place! Greetings from Mexico and thanks a lot for your comments.
So lovely, and so Florida! I always wondered how these birds avoided being eaten by alligators...
Well, sometimes they don't...but alligators eat only once a month or so, so...I figure maybe the birds can sense when an alligator is hungry and a threat...'cause I've seen them close together a number of times.
You went to Paradise and didn't tell us you were going there? I guess that was for the best, you don't want the likes of us bothering you in Paradise. Welcome home!
Such a lovely sight! I hope that you are relaxed and refreshed after your trip. Have a good week-end, and, incidentally, I left a message for you on my blog.
The challenge for the egret is to find lunch without being lunch. Lovely picture of the serene white bird in front of the rippling reflection. Very nice.
4 days out of 10 is a long train journey. I calculated that Vt to Fl is about 1500 miles. Puts my train journey from Sydney to Melbourne in the shade being only 560 miles (900kms). Makes me think twice about going on the Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin which is 3000 kms (1800 miles).
It took me a bit to understand you where in Florida... For a while I was wondering where in Vermont you can find a snowless scene and a bird like this one in January!
Florida is a bit far from here, so I dream of Egypt!
I've been dreaming of Florida lately - and I live there. What a wacky winter this has been. I hope you had a great time - you must have been south of me - way south. Thanks for visiting me while I've been laid up. I hate that I don't make my rounds and you're one of my favorites. I hope to hear that soon you'll be publishing a book. Srsly.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

very beautiful shot! i love the contrast between the white of the bird and the reflections on water.
Like Paty, the white bird is so contrasting with the nice and colorful reflection behind..
Did you say: Alligators?!..
