BRAVO! :) I enlarged the picture, it's outstanding! BEAUTIFUL! I think life is a picnic if you have positive feelings and face the adversities with faith. A picnic time is a happy feeling inside your heart! For me chocolate is essential! :) I love your pictures and creative words! Hugs Léia
Love the tone and composition of your photograph. It ALMOST looks inviting, but living in the "frozen tundra" of Minnesota, I KNOW the reality of melting snow and ice. But, your scene makes it look ever so inviting. I'll wait for summer, or at least spring, for the picnic.
CQ, the birds have a picnic every day. And they don't need a table, though some I think enjoy eating at one. Henny, this is not out my window. It's at the very beginning of a walk I love to take about a three minute drive from my home.
Benches and snow? A dream of a picture for me!! Life can be a picnic if you know to put the right things on the table..I mean, life is what you want it to be,and depends on the way the way you look at things... (You see, benches always lead to philosophy!Ü)
To answer to your question:The swap was about time, we had to send two books, one about time , and one that we discovered in 2009. Something good to eat.A calendar or a diary.A notebook. And a small surprise.
This definitely deserves to be enlarged and given a closer look. Very nice. I like that the snow is pristine and undisturbed and the sky is interesting.
Beautiful, gorgeous photo! I love the trees and the sky and "water", and undisturbed snow. This scene is a feast for the eyes, and there is so much to capture the imagination.
About the swap about time: I send a book of japanese poems called Haïkus. These are small poetries in three lines . I love this kind of poetry. And the theme of the book was "the four seasons", so, perfect for the theme of time. And my second book was from an american writer that I discovered this year and loved very much. The writer is C.J. Box, and I send "Blue heaven".
I feel cold just looking at that beautiful, icy scene! I think I'll take my picnics indoors for now, thank you very much. A nice blanket on the living room floor, some pb&j, and we're set!
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

A wonderful scene, whose magic sense of suspension turns rather into suspense, because of the patch in the sky...
I thought we lived in a fairly harsh environment. I think you live in a far more harsh environment.
Any word yet? I will go check FDE.
It's the season to feast on winter's beauty served with lots of hot cocoa.
Very pretty scene.
Sunny :)

No picnic today! But this is a picnic of a picture!
Love the shot. It is magical and is a picnic in itself.
Yes we all have good memories of Betty. she was one in a million. MB
That's a storybook shot. Picnic for the birds?
Make sure you're wearing your snowpants for that picnic lunch!
This is stunning. A view from your window?
It really is a nice looking photograph. The color in the sky is a real treat.

Geez, that's a gorgeous scene BUT it's cold. But truly beautiful.
Keep warm. Thanks for your comments at Tampa DP.

A cold picnic
Why not :-)
It looks very peaceful there !!
Really winter wonderland ...

And I thought life was a beach.
Marvellous photo.
I remember a proverb saying that there is no bad weather, only wrong clothes!
I'm with the bad poet (Vogon Poet) about no bad weather only bad clothes; but that looks a little too chilly for a picnic.
A true painting. Brilliant!
Magical. Another gorgeous snowy scene for us to admire from afar!

No problem getting a spot at the table with that weather...
If you're a bird, or moose, or a porcupine, or a coyote, or a fox...
This photo is so enchanting and terribly romantic!
That is what you call...atmosphere!
Bravo!
A SUPERB shot! :-)
