tempest in a teacup

my dear friend, Sandie, made a bird spa using her mother's old china.
only a moment before i snapped this a gold finch had been dancing a wild fandango inside it.

Well, that's got my old flower bed beat to hell! What a terrific idea! How 'bout catching that finch next time! ;-)

Jacob, I fear I haven't the skills our friend Abe has. My hope of getting a good bird image is about slim to none.

really charming. I get a kick out of all the cool ideas for bird houses, baths, etc.

That's funny. I bet you could catch a bird in the cup if you tried.

I am glad you liked the information from my niece about the sea turtle that I posted on my site.

Incidentally, my niece who is the marine biologist went to college near you, at Bowdoin College in Maine. She played on the college varsity ice hockey team, so she spent a lot of time traveling around to the other colleges in the same conference, including Middlebury in Vermont,.

Ha! A riot... I think I need one of those.

They must find a way to rotate slowly the cup. Great shot and a creative friend. Strangely the proverbial tempest, in the Italian version, is in a glass of water.

I love this! What a great idea for china not in use. I think the prettier the pattern, the more likely birds would be to use it!

There's a house in our neighborhood that has several of these, and teapots too, in their front garden. It's so cute! My little girls always want to walk by the "teaparty garden."

Well, I never! What a great idea ... maybe birds - like cats - feel more secure in squashed spaces.

Hahaha! What a cool idea!
Maybe I'd use one of my numerous cups in this way??

Use a tripod. But expect to have to wait for a while, why not have a cup of coffee while you wait!

I've seen those and wondered if birds actually use them. Now I know!

I like your title today, but too bad you didn't catch that fandango:)
