Through the doorway

in a tiny mall
with a tailor shop and a restaurant
the glass door on an open studio invites passersby to gaze in and
watch artists at work.

Beautiful light through this doorway and I can't help but wonder what she is painting. I like the artist's paper towel holder ;-)

I like the two faces in the middle of the picture, the one of the painter, and the one on the wall, one being like a painted echo of the other..

Seen through the door like in some Dutch paintings (de Hooch comes to mind), great portrait of an artist... maybe a portraitist!
I hope this is to be continued... wondering if the painting on the wall is a self portrait of the painter, maybe a tad younger.

Wow! I'd never get anywhere between watching artists work and eating in the restaurant.

What a great idea.

Re: the house for sale in Cedar Key; I don't know the actual price, but I do know a house similar to this but back from the beach several blocks was about $350K.

Anything in the downtown area is going to be pricey. On the water jacks it up even more. Cedar Key has not seen the sharp drop in prices that the rest of Florida has.

Artist at work. Neat photo of a slice in time.
