Old Deerfield is so interesting. This is a lovely picture, I like the contrasts of the green and browns.
Thank you for stopping by my blog.

The miracle is not only that the house survived, but it did it being made of WOOD!
What if such houses could talk...

How nice.... and full of secrets, I guess ;-)

My favorite subject...older wood frame buildings really lend themselves to great photography. Your shot captures its age and history perfectly.

You asked at Tampa DP about a pedestrian bridge across the Hillsborough River. There isn't one. It was proposed for the very spot I took the photo from but the university was very opposed. Directly across is the city's new Cultural Arts District of museums, etc. Makes little sense. Thank you for your comment.

Visually, a super shot, Brattcat.

These old houses really get to me. When we moved to Pennsylvania I couldn't get over the farm houses that went back to the days of Washington.

Fascinating.

Everybody is right in being impressed by this lovely old house, but I am also amazed by the deep green of everything around the building.
Here is dry season and leaves tend to a dusty pale grey, discouraging any idea of photography.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.
VP, I wish I had words for all the shades of green New England wears during the summer. The list of colors would be as long as an old man's beard. And the light, as the sun was setting that day, enhanced the already beautiful saturation of green.

What a beautiful old house and the flowers are as tall as weeds. Wonderful.

This shot is fabulous! The contrast with the green is fantastic and the house looks really old, therefore very classy!

Deerfield looks nice and so does the poodle in the last post. But where is the Brattlecat?

This house looks like it would be a neighboring house to the Adams birthplaces.

Here's our itinerary for northwest trip: Thursday Springfield MA(Seuss sculptures) then Pittsfield MA for Hancock Shaker Village; Friday & Saturday Bennington and Williamstown (weather determines which order)Sunday Brattleboro and home. Care to meet up for some picture taking with us, brattcat?

This is just one of those house images where you just want to know what lies inside. Very mysterious image.
