The blues and greens in your photo instantly recall the palette of Monet as Irina said. We may give nature credit here but you have stepped in as an artist to capture it.
Looks lovely, sounds lovely. A man I work with brought in a bouquet of a dozen big-headed, wonderful-smellling roses and put them in a common spot in the office. Talk about sweet perfume moving on the air-conditioning-caused breeze--sweet.
One of the things I miss about Ohio are the fields of milkweed. This is a lovely scene, especially with the mountain ridges receeding into the distance. White hot skies, yes I hear you on that one! We've had more than our share this year.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Claude Monet could want to be your blog follower when he saw this.
We have blue waves on the sea, you have green waves on the ground; When the breeze is blowing, the meadow moves slowly under its caresses..
I agree with Irina, I also thought about Monet paintings. Your picture is really beautiful!

Your photo today makes me want to run fast through this open field with tall grass and flowers whipping my thighs. Hey, it's me.
The layered look of the hills is very striking.
Incredibly beautiful image Brattcat, feels very serene and peaceful.
This is how I remember Vermont, not with milkweed but wild strawberries in the meadow and a couple of horses.
I love the layering of the hills in the distance.

Layer upon layer, green upon blue upon gray: what a beautiful spot, brattcat.

Anyone who lives in Arizona would think that anyone who lives in Vermont cannot use the words "white hot" to describe your weather.
I love the purple of the milkweed blossoms against the yellow of the grasses in the background.
Now I want to picnic. Sorry I can't help it.
I believe you, I can almost smell it!
Hopefully many homes for many Monarch butterflies. I can smell that field from here!
you remind me my countryside.
It is a pretty, naturalized field, brattcat. I love the roll of the distant hills.
OH i don't know this scent but if you say so!!! :)
