I love a good after-the-rain night shot. It is amazing the colors the reflections bring forth. And thank you for you comments on my daughter's new book blog. She will try to fix the commenting issue. Hope you have a wonderful weekend :^)

I also like the sheen on the pavement of a night or dusk photo. Our art group had the theme of "light" for our art challenge last month. I considered but rejected an urban reflected light street scene because I am not skilled as a painter and would be unable to do it. Instead I painted a dappled light street scene I photographed through the trees in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.
I love how the streets turn mirror-like after a rain. We don't get to see that enough.
Excellent shot Brattcat, the lights on the road are fabulous, it has a really great 'feel' to it.
I like the mood of this picture and, a bit, also the weather...
I like this shimmery view of Main Street. I can almost feel the damp air surrounding you.
I cant help wondering how it would look with the lights on green.

Photography is given new life by a good rain...everything kinda sparkles...like this shot. Very nice.
And yes, actually, in certain areas there are a lot of brick homes such as the area we lived in before moving to Stone Creek.
