Ah, stoop sitting - that jolts some grand memories of dangling long legs on the front stoop, waiting for That Boy to round the corner. . .
The photo resonates with many of us; dreamlike for sure!
This photo looks like some of my parents' snapshots of me and my brother from the early 1950's.
There is something about this photo that reminds me of my childhood. I can remember summer evenings on warm and humid summer evenings when the whole family sat together enjoying each other's company and waiting for the sun to go down when the lightening bugs would come out.
You seem to have pictured a memory inside someone's mind!..

What a beautifully blurred photograph! It is perfect in monochrome coloring. It reminds me of sitting on my grandma's porch on summery days.

Stoop-sitting is almost gone here, but I remember it when I was a kid,
The soft focus is ideal - a heat-induced hallucination.
My childhood summers all had a dreamy quality, remembrance of things past, BC, beautifully done.
Thank you for the sweet memory: I am 5 and sitting at my grandma's porch. Grandma is alive and surrounded by children and grandchildren. In black and white, too.
