The thought has just occurred to me how simple is American history that we have just one Independence Day. In Panama, next door to Costa Rica, they celebrate their Independence Day on the day they became independent from Columbia, whereas most of the countries in the New World celebrate Independence Day on the day they became independent from Spain, or the USA from England.
What about all those European countries that have been occupied and a part of other countries multiple times over the centuries. How do they decide which of their many independence days to celebrate? Only the last one?
Hope you had a terrific 4th. The lack of rain was marvelous! ☼ Sunny Re-working some show plans, I'll keep you posted :) Health is sloooowly improving.

Fabulous 4th to you and yours, mon amie! We are more concerned about the mosquitoes at the picnic than ants - hah!
Happy 4th of July, Brattcat! You made me smile with the ant thing. :-)
I don't know for the ants, but a sweet breeze is blowing forwards to you from the faraway mediterranean sea...
