This is wonderful! Your viewpoint never ceases to amaze me. This takes me right back to my childhood and lazy summer afternoons when my grandma would let me lay down on her bed in her room with the hardwood floors covered in purple rugs and lace curtains blowing in the breeze coming through the windows. Oh, thank you for the memory.
Oh my. I think I'll finish up here ("lovely picture, nice shot, well done...") so I can go back to the picture, enlarge it, and pretend I'm there in a rocking chair with a glass of something cold. Ahhhhh.
My first thoughts seeing these gauzy barriers move me to the romantic but then I wonder if they have more practical purpose like Kate mentions . . . perhaps to keep black flies & mosquitoes at bay?

Could this be a sleeping porch, too? Haven't used one in ages, but how I loved them!!
Neat, but doesn't the curtain get rained on or can they just tuck it up somewhere?
That's just gorgeous.

This porch does look like it's breathing in and out.
Interesting observation.
Wonderful shot. MB
I like the subtle colors, quite inviting.

You lucky people. We don't dare open the windows during the summer, day or night.
I really have never seen a curtain around a porch like this. It looks very inviting.
Purrfect caption!
Wonderful!
Sounds like you could use your own advice. Hope your project's going well.

Beautiful shot. I admire a lot of your work. Got here by accident because you have an image of a house of particular interest to me. Lucky find.
