Yes, this is still one more problem with skiing. Apart from the cold and apart from the injuries, you have to go back up afterward. (I never liked skiing.)
Just being in the snow looks like fun. The weather has been so warm here the butterflies, frogs and lizards have come out... its still January for heavens sake :^)
Is that a tow rope? Harder work than a chair lift or gondola. Still, up is slow, contemplative and, for people like me, full of growing terror. Down is a quickly vanishing moment. Which is the more powerful experience?

For sure. Hard work and the aftermath always brings pleasure.
The fun of sliding down is probably the only thing that would incentivize children to walk up a snowy hill repeatedly.
The black and white makes it look so very COLD! I don't think that I would want to join the group.
DO I know a photographer who stayed carefully up, taking pictures while other were walking hard?... :o)
Flying down the hill will certainly make the climb worth while.
So glad you are feeling better.
Playing in the snow is always so much fun. And yes what goes up---must come down. MB
Zooming downhill is not my thing, but those who love it will have an answer for you. I like your photo.

Looks like it was worth the hard work - glad you're feeling better, there's a nasty bug going around!
