over the holiday my daughter helped me sort my yarn stash and all the little bits and bobs ended up in a wicker basket, begging to become whimsical, wildly-colored dolls.
are you also compelled to use up bits of leftover things?
If my bits and pieces resulted in such a lovely little doll, I would be compelled to do so. Since I am trying valiantly, but without much success, to downsize, I am now tossing things away with abandon (after donating to Goodwill...which reminds me...)
How adorable! I too have a LOT of left over yarn, but it seems like all my yarns are from varying weights. This would be a good way to combine them for sure! :)
Really adorable...I tend to use up scraps too - with my worsted weight yarns I make colorful afghans...and with my cotton worsted weight I am now making a blanket for the cool summer evenings on my balcony.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Too cute. Lovely idea that I am forwarding to my friend in Santa Rose, Ca. who has many bits of leftovers. Thank you. MB
I use pieces of fabric to quilt and to make patchwork.
Your doll is so cute, like ever!
A lovely and colorful doll with humble origins...
Cute! A lot of yarn can lead to quite a few tales.
How cute! While I used to save odds and ends for future projects, I now get rid of them, because there is just no more room!
Awww, that's a cute, cute poppet. Love the serendipity of 'leftovers' creations.
Yes! Especially fabric and paper. Yarn scraps seem to wait in th bottom of my knitting bag and basket.
You are so clever, brattcat.
Maybe. Real old JPGs. Frequent flyer miles. The last few drops in a bottle of single malt.

She is a cutie!
I always save up used paper, boards, ribbons and beads for my paper crafting. Which all end up being given away too.
Wishing you a beautiful and grace-filled 2013.
You are so creative, this doll is gorgeous!

Oh, I think that she is a cousin of Oskar! I see the family resemblance!
Best for 2013 to you, dear friend.

I'm not much of a knitter Brattcat, so no leftovers there, but I do make a mean 'bubble and squeak' with left over veggies, does that count!
