we flee from winter

but we've yet to find the path to spring.

The second pictures is showing a pattern which is looking like an arrow, turned to east: direction to where spring is coming from!

Subtle and interesting. The top one looks like pussy-willow trying to bud through snow, the second like a close-up of herringbone fabric.
