petal pushers

we have three florists in town.
this one is called 'Taylor for Flowers'
for years a black dog napped in the shop window throughout the business day.
he's gone now
but the flower shop remains.

Really old, the phone, the posters and the house itself.

That is a gorgeous greeting for shoppers. We actually have a florist here in B'ham called Petal Pushers!

Now, for your 'flowery' entrance!

I never miss one of these, one of my favourite subjects. These shops are quite rare and when I spot a new one I happily shoot a dozen of photos.

I like the use of the lantern to hand the planters on. It's a very colorful and welcoming front entrance to the flower shop.

Petunias, geraniums and those glorious fuschia(s) ... how gorgeous. I am trying to find a fuschia to grow from a wall planter but can only find a standard.

This is a wonderful shot of a gorgeous entrance ... garden shops are my anti-depressant of choice.
