light painting

in its current exhibit
our local museum has an entire room
dedicated to the light paintings of Stephen Knapp.
this photo doesn't do his work justice.
with a single halogen light, dichromatic glass, and brackets
he breaks out of the frame
and makes magic.

Well, I haven't seen the art work, but I find your photo just fantastic!!!

However, your photo has twigged that the exhibit is on, and that is its role. I walked into a light exhibit at our National Gallery in Canberra a few years ago and my brain was totally blown: it was all encompassing and I even felt that it pierced right through me. Your image brings this sense back to me very forcefully.

I think your photo definitely does the artist's work justice. Great picture; it would make a great desktop picture.
