come with me to the bronx zoo on a sweet spring day.

let's wander up the walks, under the tunnels, over the bridges, 
and see what we might see.

This is a point of pride for the Bronx, which often feel overshadowed by being adjacent to Manhattan.

If I remember well, some animals escaped from there some years ago... A lion, a zebra, a hippo and a giraffe, wasn't it?

That's a wonderful place, big and not often crowded. I wins I had gone there more. My high school was just across Southern Boulevard on the Fordham campus.
