I don't know if it is true, but I have been told that the amount of pinkness in their feathers depends upon their diet.
We have been fortunate to see flocks of flamingoes in the wild in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, in Torres del Paine National Park near the southern tip of South America, and in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile. They are magnificent in the wild, and cute in zoos.

You've got a wonderful eye !
Beautiful captures !
I love those pink beauties, even on lawns (which I usually find amusing also)>
How artistically they arranged themselves for you. :))
Adorable and so beautifully PINK.
Ever had your front lawn 'pinked'?
These flamingos certainly have a certain elegance about them. Except for the ones I see in Florida yards so often. :) Sorry, Kate.
Love the reflections!
