Is that a 'now' pic? All that green grass? We're having some gray and brown and rain, but wait - the sun just came out! Your chairs called for it . . .
Like a lot of French people, I have always loved the all-American Adirondack chairs. The first thing I did when moving to the US 16 years ago, was to get a pair. I wish they had been as colorful as these, however. What a cheerful looking group! Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Ah, good to see you back from your travels. I like the picture. It's full of questions. On another level, these chairs make me think pf Parcheesi pieces.
Time was when no one would think of painting chairs a different colour - time was when they'd not be painted, of course. I love the individuality of colour - the optimism of it, the vibrance. Too right, imagine the conversation. I see four old Italian ladies in these chairs, all dressed in black yet lifted and inspired by the colour in the chairs they all talk at once ...

I love those chairs, and each year I resolve to buy two yet another season has gone by without them. Love the medley of colours, too.

They are waiting for the SUN!
that is a "now" pic, sharon. this is the "green mountain state" after all. ) the lawn at the retreat stays green until it's covered with snow.
kate, i also covet these chairs but we hardly have room for them on our little postage stamp lot.

I have a feeling the conversations that take place there are quite sophisticated and cover many fascinating subjects.
Great colors and a fine photo!
A chacun sa couleur!
So nice! A silent conversation is good for me...

I just love this, the chairs look like miniatures. Great composition, Brattcat.
There's a lot of 'expectation' here Brattcat, those chairs are waiting for....!

Oh such warm and sunny colors, embodied in those chairs. On a completely different topic, I like pizza.
