Beautiful image Brattcat, hopefully in a short while new memories will occur on those very steps. I hope you are keeping cosy and warm in this cold snap that is happening over on your side of the world! btw lovely piece of artwork by Sally Mavor below.
It would be fun to watch (and photograph) the change in design as the snow melts on the steps. The stone is gorgeous and will be gathering stories for many decades to come.

That's a beautiful, nostalgic photo!
From the picture it's difficult to tell that those are steps... With so much snow on them it must be tricky to climb.
God bless you!

Love this geometry. A wonderful eye to see the potential of this ...
What a wonderful shot! Frame this one.
An usual shot and one that is almost surreal.
You've taken me back this morning. I want to climb.
I see something dark and treacherous . . .but also I see a great photo . . .

An image to stimulate the imagination and to wonder about all those who have passed.
These stairs were made for photographing, not walking in this weather.
Pretty! It's very zen.
Hello! I also liked this photo.Unique!
and what about time, wind, birds, dreams, raindrops...?
An abstract shot of a very real subject... well done!
Nice attention to detail, brattcat. I like this shot. And, as always, I enjoy your poetic thoughts.
Reminds me of rick-rack sewing trim... I like it!
It's probably a good thing about the memories...someone could fall and break there neck there...
You're so poetic.
I thought someone told that to me, too, about being poetic. Unfortunately, the word they used was "pathetic". I thought that was rather pathetic. :-)
I love this. I"m sorry you are still under a blanket of snow and ice but your images delight us all.
