Lovely aspect on this image Brattcat, it always amazes me how ducks can swim in such icy cold water and not get frostbite..Hope you have a really good weekend and that all is well!
It took me some time to get the figure-ground worked out here. At first I thought the ducks were a couple of ornate and perhaps artificial leaves. Quiet scene.

Yes, such an aptly titled image :^)
Nice crop here.
Such a lovely shot -
That is exactly what this looks like. Love the shot.
I hope those feathers are keeping them warm. This is a beautiful shot.

Wow! Beauteous, both photo and caption.
Despite the cold and inclement weather, this animals look right at home!
How about "these animals"----?
Delightful color and texture of the surface of the water.
Very unusual color that does indeed look like pewter. But who would think of "pewter" other than a poetess with great creativity?
My eyes were attracted by the yellow spot, like a piece of sun fallen into the grey mood of winter..
Wonderful image, perfect composition, great title!
Your caption is perfect for this one
Well done, brattcat. The ducks are crisp, and the roiling water demands to be studied and admired.

How do you come up with these? I"m so amazed. That is just what it resembles.

Wow, this is so beautiful! The title of the post really tells what it looks like and the ducks add a very charming touch to the image!
God bless you!
They would find the crossing of bridges to be but water off their back.
How beautiful!
