When you pull it in close Brattcat, you can see how they've got their feathers all plumped up to keep warm. They've got a great spot there although they should have huddled up closer to keep warmer. I have to agree with Birdman, I was expecting a purrrrrrrry, furry animal!!
You surprised me as well with this non-kitty shot, but the details and color are just exquisite. All the cats at brattcat's will like this shot... miam-miam!
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

Nice spot for them, they can see in all directions.
Kind of Hitchcock's movie's mood...
Your choice is a bit of a surprise today. What a neat vane too. Boys, let's head West!
Amazing shot!

I always liked the way birds decorate weathervanes, and this image is a perfect example.
nice and i love that weather vane!
Not exactly birds on a wire, but they look pretty free!
Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

I love how you always see a grouping of them, and rarely a singleton. Nice silhouettes! Greetings from Texas.
Love that!
It looks like they have thier feathers puffed up to keep warm.
...and what a great sign they have to perch on.
The weather vane should have been pointing south, with the birds wondering why they did not fly in that direction.
LOL to Steffe! Go south, my birds, go south!

Very cool shot. Peterborough? You get around.
I can´t help remember the Hitchcock film.
They've found a lovely perch to try to keep warm.
Such a nice shot - the vane and birds against that blue, blue sky. Beautiful.
What, no kitty? I do like the setting for the birds.
An excellent shot for theme day!
Not many weathervanes left here. Nice to see one still up. I tend to see birds like these huddled on the peak of the roof. Excellent photo!
