Do you remember Jimmy Clift's song "I've got many rivers to cross"..?
When I see a bridge like this I think back to a moment in my childhood when a boy about 14 at the time climbed up and walked across the top of a bridge like that on a dare from a friend who offered him 25 cents for the stunt, which fortunately he completed.
Just another bridge, but at least one with some character :^)
Looks like this bridge has weathered a lot of storms, and it is beautifully rugged in its old age.
Some bridges are fun to cross, others are not; I'm not sure how I feel about this one!

That's usually the way it works...and sometimes we never do get to "that bridge." Which usually means caution is often the best approach.

Love the photo and of course the words. It's often easier to cross the bridge and see what's on the other side, than not to do so and then spend your life wondering what you missed.
This certainly is a bridge that's not going to be burned real soon.
You do have a bridge to cross this year, but that is not until August. I somehow feel you are not refering to the bridge in the photograph.
