Lovely aspect on this image Brattcat, it always amazes me how ducks can swim in such icy cold water and not get frostbite..Hope you have a really good weekend and that all is well!

Very unusual color that does indeed look like pewter. But who would think of "pewter" other than a poetess with great creativity?

It took me some time to get the figure-ground worked out here. At first I thought the ducks were a couple of ornate and perhaps artificial leaves. Quiet scene.
