gently, last autumn, we tucked tulip bulbs into clay pots, pulling rich dirt blankets up around their papery chins

they've slept winter away in the dark, cold basement.
but last week we brought them up the cellar stairway and
behold the magic.

Behold! Magic! Sublime . . .

How wonderful is that! You made me think of my friends cabin up north. He sold it last year but, he had planted tulips all over the property so I'm betting they are popping up about now. Wish I could see them.

I agree with JM Brattcat, beautifully soft background and crisp clear blooms. The tulips are divine, spring is definitely on its way to you.

We don't have basements here. Darn! It appears many wonderful things can come up from basements. These will put some color in your life...

The tulip is appearing early this year. If you put it outside now, good luck in avoiding a later snow storm.

Flower power. Or magic. In any case, always a welcome guest.
