Wow, the clarity here is phenomenal. And not just in the foreground stalks, but also in the mountains.

'Fess up: which make and model?

And, have.you.read.the.manual?

Need to just query something. My New Year weekend had 3 days in it. How many did yours have?

dear julie...i decided to go with another sony...a cybershot dsc-hx100v. i read the manual and the in-camera info and still haven't a clue how to use all the different functions. i'll just have to keep experimenting with it until i come to understand it. my new year weekend will last a week because baby brattcat and her dashing darling are still with us and i'm getting no time for camera walks.

They say the 'new year' can be anything you make it. You're certainly getting your BANG for the buck. This is a stunning shot with sky, clouds, stalks, sunlight all working.

Stunning shot - has a Montana 'big sky' feel to it.

Love how you have spent your 5 day New Year's weekend. Despite not getting out for camera walks you have great Brattleboro images here. Enjoy learning your new camera

You appear to be doing MUCH better than I with your new camera. I do not want to just set it on automatic so the ISO and DOF are real challenges for me. But, I'm learning!! And my Twin Cities Rob (check out his fantastic photos!) is giving me some instruction, even by email 'til we return.

I usually don't like fog at all but in this picture it looks so cool!
God bless you!

A scene like this might have a magnetic pull on the camera around your neck and lead you outside.

It appears to me that you found it. Such a wonderful photo!

A dream come true! What new camera? Xmas gift? Oh, I just saw your note to Julie...I had a Cybershot, it was my favorite p&s but I gave it to a daughter in need. But it was wonderful!

And you're certainly getting the hang of it by the looks of this picture!

And you found it Brattcat, excellent shot. I know what you mean, we had David and Courtney over from Sydney for the week and it doesn't leave much time for everyday things, but it's fabulous to have them oui!

I love the contrast between golden grass and foggy sky.. I wish you and your new camera a lot of adventures together, and a long love story!

You have had good skies and mist today and yesterday, brattcat.

You read the manual! I would never admit to doing that. It is as bad as asking for directions. The fraternity would kick me out.

My congratulations on new camera. I watched your week-end adventures up side down, from 7 to 1, they are wonderful and dramatic. And so beautiful.
I liked the Van Gogh part, laughing loud))
