Reflections, reflections...Were do the fish go when there's a flood?and where when the flood is over and the water goes back into its place?..

One thing about water. It goes where ever it pleases. Whenever it wants.

Stunning pics but not so stunning aftermath . . .

Your comment reminds me of the movie of the same name...loved it as I enjoy these photos today. Water is both a blessing and a curse. Santa Fe and the Southwest could use some of this water!!

I have driven the Putney Road several times. It is pretty. Here is hoping that this road is not one of those that washed out in Irene.

Amazing something so soft and pliable in large quanties can do so much damage, or provide such beautiful refflections.

Water is powerful as I have been reminded these past few days. Thankfully, we did not see the destruction you have felt in Brattleboro.

Beauty and calm after the storm, fortunately!

They are beautifully captured images Brattcat, if only the water was in it's proper place, are you still getting a lot of rain making it harder for the water level to sink?

This series about water is a real beauty: non just for picture quality but for communicating something to us. Actually I could say the same for most of your posts, but this one and the "swollen river" beat all... so far.

The first photo depicts nature's timeless beauty to the innocent bystander.

I am expecting to see fairies in this first shot... Out of this world.

Water is as beautiful as dangerous. You took great advantage of both in this wonderful shots.
