come linger a moment beside me.

tilt your head back,
close your eyes.
together we'll eavesdrop on the conversations of crickets.

What a brilliant idea Brattcat, we have these little creatures that live in the soil called sandgropers, they make an interesting noise on a summers night! btw those chairs are a gorgeous colour!!

I'd love to linger a bit right there. Hope that things have settled down for you by now.

I really like how you framed the eye catching red chairs.

Love those chairs, and your suggestion as to how to use them is spot on. Wanted two in either red or brilliant cobalt blue this summer but never got around to buying and painting them. Perhaps next year; remind me, won't you?

What a delightful vignette and I could imagine sitting here with a friend, a little beverage, and a lap-cat.

This looks like a pleasant little spot in the sun.

Outstanding photograph today, brattcat, as always. You have a poetic way with words. They bring up exactly the right image of late summer.

Most poetic, a little mindfulness meditation. I wish I could learn to be that still.

Solitude, peace and quiet.

Hah! I can do that all day long, with my tinittus! Crickets might be more soothing, I wonder.
