In the Arizona desert pumpkins life out in the open like that would become a feast for javalina. We have friends who cannot put pumpkins outside their homes because javalina (which are like a thin wild boar) will come out of nearby mountain preserve territory to feast on the pumpkins.
One cat prowls around small town Vermont.

What a visually stunning, balanced photo. Reminds me that I need to watch "Nightmare before Christmas" to jumpstart my fall fever!
Stunning!
Fall is in the air!
It's a lovely composition. The path also reminds me Lord of the Rings, it's scenic!

I don't know why but I am flashing on The Headless Horseman. One too many brewskis, yesterday.
Punked in the mountains of Vermont. Gotta love it!
Nature offers many transformations from spring through autumn. Hmmm, wonder why I didn't include winter? Lovely photo.
I, too, love this photo: lush pumpkins, greenery, and the every-tempting path.
Superb photo, Brattcat! It's a framer and hanger. It's like an impressionist painting. You are good!
(And also full of fun and funky comments this morning! Thanks!!)
How can it almost be Halloween already?
What a gorgeous fall scene!
Super shot. Nothing like the pop of pumpkin color. MB
When the big orange things appear, it means that autumn did really begin..
Thanks for your nice comment!I'm glad to read you again!
Love the composition of that photo.
Pumpkins already. Not cool enough here. All that green and orange makes me thimk of the Irish flag.
Or maybe just for decoration. This really gets me in the mood for fall!
I am glad I wasn't sittin' under that tree when they fell! Beautiful fall pastoral.
Lovely composition. It's hard to believe that it's pumpkin season already!

Love the colors in the picture. They're one of the reasons I love this season.
This is so beautiful and well composed!
So beautiful and peaceful framed world.
