for j.m.: a close-up of the horses

these horses are the work
of joe fichter.
hope this satisfies your curiosity, j.m.

(and for those of you wondering about the funny lawn...
it is a living sculpture and has been in place for at least 20 years.)

As I said previously, these horses are so well done they actually make you think of horses in action and not just welded together pieces of old metal.

I, too, like the lawn (so long as I don't have to mow it!)...

Hope you're off to a great weekend!

These fantastic sculptures look like they may gallop away at any minute.
Sorry if I'm repeating myself!

Thanks for asking about my back, it still bothers me and now I am having hip problems. Doctor visit soon. How is your knee?

I am all for satisfying J.M.'s curiosity.

I wonder how they keep children from climbing on them. Maybe you have well behaved kids ior attentive parents n Vermont.

Great sculptures. I thought I was hopeless with modern art. I just looked in wrong direction..

It's interesting that Mr. Fitchner actually uses his own horse, Bella, as a model....skittish as she is.
Welding is a skill I would like to attempt someday, having conquered blacksmithing (at least in my mind...). Metal is so fascinating, seemingly immovable, yet malleable. So malleable that it was the Titanic's demise.

That's rather a clever metallic sculpture. The artist must have a hardworking mind to create this.
