Oh my you got bees already. It is a cool day here this morning. In the 50s. Not many bees out and about.

I am anxious to see what we get.
Honeybees, wasps, bumblebees and bees called sweat.

Then it will be time to get out the old screw on magnifier filters.

I've finally seen a bee like this! It's huge and sounds like a plane! But the little jacket is cute. :)

What a great macro! I just love bees. Especially the big fuzzy ones like this guy.

He/she is saying, "I'm agonna get your nectar, sweetheart!"

Beautiful shot, Brattcat.

Re the water at Cedar Key...yeah, it's usually brown/blue/black, depending on the time of day, the tides, the sky. It's not that beautiful blue-green so typical of Florida's panhandle.

But CK is all about fishing and clam-raising...not swimming...

Re your comment about Preakness...must have been hard to get to sleep! Especially if you had money on a particular horse!

Just love bees. They've been buzzing about here for a while now but no I've no shots like yours. Love it. And your words which I always adore. Talking of bees, a very small one stung one of my friends - swollen foot and pain for two days. Naughty bee. It somehow got stuck between his jeans and socks and that was it - ouch. Happily the bee flew off and I thought they died after stinging.

I don't know what the bee said, but the flower said, "The first one's free, kid." From then on the bee was hooked ;^).
